Mobile Cardiac Echocardiography - How We Work With Your Practice

Mobile Pet Echo is a mobile veterinary cardiac imaging service designed to support veterinary clinics with high-quality echocardiography, without referral and without disrupting your workflow.

We work in collaboration with your team, keeping you in charge of the case while providing specialist-level cardiac imaging and interpretation.

What We Do

Mobile Pet Echo provides in-clinic echocardiography for dogs and cats, including:

- Exploration of heart murmurs (puppies, adults, pre-anesthetic cases)
- Diagnosis of established congestive heart failure (CHF)
- Breed-related and hereditary cardiac screening
- Cardiac risk assessment prior to anesthesia
- Cardiac follow-up and monitoring

All exams are performed on site in your clinic.

Who Performs the Exam

Image acquisition is performed by an experienced Veterinary Sonographer with over 20 years of veterinary ultrasound experience
All studies are reviewed and interpreted by a Board-Certified Veterinary Cardiologist (DACVIM – Cardiology)
The final diagnosis and recommendations are issued under the cardiologist’s responsibility
This collaborative model ensures referral-level diagnostic quality while keeping care in-house.

When to Use Mobile Pet Echo

You may request a Mobile Pet Echo visit when:

- A heart murmur is detected during a routine exam
- A murmur is discovered in a puppy or kitten
- A murmur is heard prior to anesthesia
- A patient presents with signs of CHF (cough, pulmonary edema, ascites, effusion)
- Breed-predisposed cardiac disease screening is indicated
- Cardiac diagnosis or staging is needed to guide therapy

How Scheduling Works

1. Your clinic identifies the need for an echocardiogram
2. You contact Mobile Pet Echo directly to schedule the visit
3. We coordinate timing based on your workflow and availability
4. The exam is performed in your clinic

Appointments can usually be arranged quickly, including for fragile or unstable patients.

- High-quality diagnostic image acquisition
- Submission for cardiologist review

Reporting & Turnaround Time

Owner Presence & Patient Comfort

- Exams are performed in the patient’s usual clinical environment
- Owners may remain with their pet during the exam if desired
- Most exams are performed without sedation
- Exam duration is typically 20–30 minutes

This approach reduces stress for patients and owners alike.

Billing & Client Communication

- The service is billed through your clinic
- You remain the primary point of contact for the client
- You receive the cardiologist-validated report and discuss results directly with the owner

Mobile Pet Echo does not compete with your clinic and does not communicate results directly to clients.
